The leading video hosting website “YouTube” has launched YouTube Kids App in India. This application offers child friendly content (no more worries to parents) and makes it easier for kids to find videos on topics they want to learn and explore in depth about it.
This application offers popular kids videos in Hindi and English on the home screen and similar to the main YouTube app. This app allows the child to search for videos in various Indian languages. YouTube Kids app sports larger images, bold icons and easier navigation as it is aimed for children. It also supports voice search to let children find videos in case they cannot spell the words correctly or type yet. The app includes content from popular Indian YouTube creators such as TLOGER, ChuChuTV, KidsTV, Cat & Keet, The Yogic Elphant, and so on.
The kids can browse channels and playlists in four categories: Shows, Music, Learning and Explore. The app comes with a number of parental options. YouTube said it will add new guest selected playlists from celebrities, educators, trusted names and other parents in the coming weeks.
YouTube first launched YouTube Kids in February 2015. By last November, the app had surpassed 10M downloads and rolled out to a slew of other countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Last month, the app premiered in Asia for the very first time, bowing in the Philippines and Malaysia. YouTube Kids is currently available in more than 20 countries.
